Senior Care

Due to the fact that animals age much faster than humans, they are considered seniors sooner than you may think!

We already recommend complete physical exams on all of our senior patients every 6 months.

However, disease detection is very difficult by exams alone.

Many animals mask signs of illness from their owners until it is has advanced to a chronic condition.

Early detection of any disease process is vital in our attempts to cure/manage and maintain a high quality of life for your pet.

Some aging changes are normal. However, age is NOT A DISEASE!

If your pet is exhibiting any of the following changes, it is time to schedule an appointment.

  • losing weight

  • having difficulty chewing

  • getting up slower

  • not as playful

  • drinking more water

  • not drinking enough water
